Designing for Health, Safety and Environment

“Understanding human factors, inertia as a barrier to entry, adequate training and a preventative approach is key to health, safety and environment compliance.”

Days 1-30

Heuristic Evaluation, Stakeholder Interviews & User Interviews

As a part of our iterative design process, our experts performed evaluations on existing systems that were used to track personnel. We identified stakeholders, the Health and Safety and compliance team members, well operators etc. to ascertain key requirements and objectives and understand pain points. Highly focused interviews with rig personnel, onshore personnel provided our customer with highly valuable insights and their requirement for a seamless, adaptive system.

Days 31-60

Process Mapping & Ideation

Given the use of such a system in various environments, we performed an extensive process mapping. The study outlined the challenges of handling various disconnected systems, data entry challenges, logistical issues and sustaining the pace with regulations change for compliance’s.The future state and data obtained from the research were translated into creative ideas, story boards, scenarios and mock ups

Days 61-90

Feasibility Studies, Prototyping & Proof of Concept

Our talented technology team performed a feasibility study to better understand various technologies, limitations and dependencies including connectivity with onshore and offshore operations.Fully interactive high fidelity prototypes that replicated the future state of the application were created iteratively with user feedback. This mitigated the challenge of change as well as solving real pain points
